4/21/12 - Hill-Kelley Wedding @ Vintage Club - Indian Wells, CA Just wanted to thank you again for all of your help! The Cowling Band was amazing and far surpassed any expectations that I had going in to the evening. My main goal of the night was to get everyone out on the dance floor and I certainly did not need to worry about achieving it! Rick and the band were honestly out of this world. I can't tell you the number of guests that came up to me to comment on how it was the best band they had ever seen. One of the guests is on the social committee at The Vintage Club and he said that he is definitely going to get the band back to the club for more events. I suggested the NYE party! And, apparently the whole club was buzzing about how great they were because the next evening my dad ran in to the Social Chairman and he said that the band was the talk of the club! People that I didn’t know how to spell the word “Dance” unapologetically got on the floor and did whatever chicken dance they could come up with because they were so inspired by the music. It was great! Ernesto and I believe that the ceremony was for us and the reception was for our guests. By all accounts: mission accomplished! The dance floor was full and smiles were abounding in the room. We also thoroughly enjoyed the gospel choir. People could not believe how great the choir sounded and they loved the spirit that the singing brought to the event. The 1 O'Clock Band was incredible! The musicianship was among the best I've seen, the sound mix was perfect (I use to mix Front Of House for concerts while in college and I still work as a sound engineer), the song flow was great! At one point I thought the band was on a break and the song Come Away With Me by Norah Jones started playing, then I glanced up and realized it was the band playing it, that's how good they were! The dance floor was full all night, everyone has been telling us that they danced more at our wedding than any other weddings they've been to. I can't thank you both enough for all your help. West Coast Music delivered the best band imaginable for our wedding, and if I ever have an occasion to be able to hire live musicians for an event you will definitely get a call from me. As I encountered other vendors while planning the wedding, they would ask me who the band was and when I told them, they would say things like "oh, then you don't have to worry about another thing!" These were professionals who had been part of hundreds, if not thousands, of weddings. I knew I had been impressed with James Gang, but this, from a pretty jaded wedding industry, was astounding. They were absolutely amazing. We have received countless compliments. People said it was the best wedding they had ever been to because the band was that great. They loved how they started off with the high energy dance set and the first song being by The Black Eyed Peas. People said that they had never seen so many people dance right from the start. The Motown Quartet was also such a perfect add in. They appealed to all ages and they were all such amazing singers. People said they forgot they were at a wedding because it felt like a concert.
