Heather + Ryan said it was hands down "worth every penny" and they couldn't have imagined their night without the band. Guests were RAVING about the band during and after the reception! Rick and his crew were most frequently mentioned as THE high point of Mike and Mallory's wedding celebration. They played a terrific selection of music that touched every age group and their energy was infectious. The dance floor was filled with smiling people from their first note through the last. Their musicianship was superb, and I offer that evaluation as a life-long musician myself. Rick and his band took our event to a whole new height. It's that simple. One of my favorite comments on the evening came from a friend of our families to my wife. This person said "I have never been at a wedding reception where everyone of every age had such a great time. Usually the older attendees or the younger attendees aren't hearing the music that moves them. But at this party, EVERYONE danced to every song. It was truly amazing." Seriously, everyone repeatedly came up to me throughout the night telling me how fantastic they were. Every song was performed perfectly (we wanted to applaud after each performance) and the song selection couldn't have been better. I think I was asked “where did you find this band” more than any other question I answered on the night. I got a lot of people asking me how long it took me to find them, and I had to admit that I did nothing other than pick up the phone like I did 14 years ago. Our synagogue’s president was at the event and she loves to dance. Every year the synagogue holds a big dinner/dance fundraiser. I know she’s thinking about West Coast Music for next year’s soirée. The music was great. They were very accommodating about requests and gracious about with a couple shifts in timing of things due to the caterer wanting to serve food at particular times. Jude was easy to work with, although he’s quieter than I would have expected. Even the sound guy turned the master volume down when I asked him to! As I told Jim, I had and needed no “program” for the night because I knew that with an WCM band playing up tempo music and with a bunch of willing dancers on the guest list, the party would take care of itself. I have to say, I grew up watching party bands play festivals in the midwest, and I've gone to a lot of concerts, and I'm a musician myself and have a very critical ear when it comes to cover bands. The 1 O'Clock Band was incredible! The musicianship was among the best I've seen, the sound mix was perfect (I use to mix Front Of House for concerts while in college and I still work as a sound engineer), the song flow was great! At one point I thought the band was on a break and the song Come Away With Me by Norah Jones started playing, then I glanced up and realized it was the band playing it, that's how good they were! The dance floor was full all night, everyone has been telling us that they danced more at our wedding than any other weddings they've been to. I can't thank you both enough for all your help. West Coast Music delivered the best band imaginable for our wedding, and if I ever have an occasion to be able to hire live musicians for an event you will definitely get a call from me. Your music provided the foundation for such an unbelievable, touching experience. Of course the bride & groom helped a great deal, with a beautiful setting, blue skies, and porpoises but your music touched everyone's soul from beginning to end..
